1. Introduction

CMF has been established in 2003 by a group of active researchers, activists and journalists working in both electronic and print media so as to establish an equitable society. CMF's main concern is to find out problems in political, social and cultural sectors, bring them into the mainstream media and to pressurize the concerned authorities for sustainable solutions. CMF has especially been launching media advocacy for social, cultural, economic and political rights of those who are marginalized on the basis of class, gender, ethnicity, race and region.

As the country is passing through a crucial period, CMF believes, the role of media is quite important to achieve the goal of governance, International Commitment and eradication the Poverty

2. Vision

CMF envies to make use of media effectively to establish an equitable society by making civil society informed and empowered and through their own meaningful participation and initiative.

3. Mission

Enhance meaningful participation of marginalized groups (especially Indigenous Peoples, Dalits and women), regions and communities and ensure their access and control over resources and means for equitable and sustainable development through media advocacy.
